The Stables Cottage is a spacious two-bedroomed cottage created from the former stables of Meadowview Barn. It is equipped and comfortably furnished for four people. This has been designed with older people in mind. The double bedroom, the kitchen, bathroom (with shower only), and lounge are all on the ground floor.

The ground floor lounge also has open views over the gardens and our own meadowland, with the hills of the Peak District beyond. Run your mouse over the picture below to see the view.

The kitchen is all electric, with a modern cooker, fridge, microwave oven, automatic washing machine, electric kettle and toaster. There are good quality crockery, cooking utensils and cutlery for four people.

Guests may sit at the table looking out at our meadowland and the countryside beyond.

The twin bedroom is on the upper floor, reached by a natural pine staircase. We can provide a cot, highchair and baby bath free of charge, when required.

We provide bed linen at an extra charge, but guests may bring their own in which case we put clean undersheets and under pillow cases on each bed. We do not usually provide towels.

The ground floor double bedroom looks out over the gardens and our own meadowland with the Peak District hills beyond.

The Stables has a folder packed with leaflets and brochures of places to visit and interesting things to see. There is parking for two cars within our grounds.
Electricity is supplied by £1 coin meters charged at Electricity Board Rates.

The Stables Bathroom has a shower only. Water is heated as you use it. There is a razor point, storage and wall heater, toilet and washbasin.

There are frogs, ducks and rabbits in the meadow, and a wide variety of birds and butterflies in the summer months. There is garden furniture for each house and children may play around the gardens and in the meadow.

When you arrive, there will be tea and biscuits waiting on the kitchen table before you start your holiday.

There will be a pint of milk in the fridge, a liner in the kitchen bin, and a toilet roll in the bathroom.

For those visitors who bring a wireless-enabled laptop, we now provide Wireless Broadband within the cost of the rental.
